For instance, you could opt for the robot to clean up the kitchen and living rooms but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are also excellent and the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only drawback is that it is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning on the app will show you exactly what the robot has done, where it is traveling, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided. The docking station has a handy LCD screen that indicates when maintenance is needed, such as emptying debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution. Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you view all the details of the cleaning. 2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. It's not like the model from last year it comes with an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that allows it to pick up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners may miss. This Roborock model, just like the other two I tried, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its path and clean around them without skipping a beat. This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock and a home button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-filling. The only issue I have found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. It is possible to change the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for manual washing. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that could cause scratches. The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, track battery life and component maintenance. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how efficient it is otherwise. 3. Dreame X40 The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with innovative features, superior suction power and advanced mopping capabilities. Its intelligent design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while reducing time. The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the most effective alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clean up dry mess, including pet hair and dust. It also comes with a top-quality mop that makes hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. Additionally, the X40 is very quiet during its operation, with only occasional squeaks of sound when switching modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks. They can also adjust suction power, switch modes, view maps and floor plans, and manage mopping setting. The X40 will also track its progress, and alert you when it is finished. The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many features that make it a great option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans mop pads and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It will also tell you the moment when the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it spills. 4. L20 Ultra The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It does have many features that make it stand out. This is a feature we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a good way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.
